Registration form for Ceremonies

1 July 2025: The association’s ceremonial services have officially begun!

If you would like to request a ceremony, please fill out the following form and submit it. You will receive a confirmation email indicating that you have submitted the request. If you do not receive it, it is advisable to check that your email address has been entered correctly. Alternatively, you may contact us directly at athafnir@farsæld.is.

Members of Flourishing receive a 10% discount on the total ceremony fee. You can register as a member here.

Please note: For the time being, weddings conducted by Flourishing are not legally binding marriages, as the association has not yet received official registration from the authorities.

Please note: Various aspects of the ceremonial service are still under development, and therefore it may not always be possible to provide one of our ceremony leaders on the specific date or time requested. The earlier the request is made, the greater the likelihood of availability.

Weddings: It is possible to request either a basic ceremony (short) or a full ceremony (long). There is a price difference between them. See the page on weddings for further details. Please indicate in the message box whether you have decided on a basic or full ceremony, although this can also be discussed further with the ceremony leader.

Payment Terms

A 20% deposit of the ceremony fee must be paid at the time of booking as a confirmation and security fee. This deposit will be refunded in the case of cancellation provided that a preparatory meeting with the ceremony leader has not yet taken place, but not after such a meeting has occurred. Once a formal preparatory meeting has been held, the deposit is non-refundable.

The deposit should be transferred to the association’s account:

and a copy of the payment notification should be sent to farsaeld@farsaeld.is.

The full ceremony fee is paid shortly before the ceremony (for name-giving ceremonies) or after the ceremony (for weddings and funerals), as applicable.

A coordinator will contact you shortly, or no later than two working days after the request has been submitted.
